Fadi Abu Sada- As soon as the Palestinian government set the date for the municipal elections, clans and families in Palestinian cities got into high gear and imparked on conducting meetings to set the names of those who will run in the local elections. Yes it is still the dominate culture in this country, the culture of clans, even political factions failed to overshadow it. So we continued to wait for the families to name their candidates and then to start the negotiations process among families and mutual visits as well as the completed electoral lists and so on.

By Fadi Abu Sa'da- to start with, we never forgot our Nakba (Catastrophe in English) in order to have one day of the year to commemorate it. The Nakba became part of the harsh mummeries that we have, while they (the Israelis) have decided to implement a military siege on us to commemorate their independence. This independence comes this year while historical battle is being fought. The battle of the hunger strike by the Palestinian political prisoners inside the Israeli occupation jails demanding freedom and dignity.

Fadi Abu Sada- It is not strange to hear the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton saying that the “two-state solution should go through Jerusalem and Ramallah, and not New York,” meaning that negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis should be the way to peace. It is strange however, to realize that Clinton did not read history very well to learn that Palestinians have invested two decades on fruitless negotiations. What makes her comment absurd, is that she is talking about two states, ignoring the fact that Jerusalem and Ramallah are two Palestinian cities.
